This song is dedicated to the memory of the "Canonical Five", the victims of the brutal murders in Whitechapel, London in 1888. I was watching a documentary about Jack the Ripper and someone being. interviewed said that we always focus on the killer but not much is said about the women. "No matter what their station in life they did not deserve to die like this." This song is dedicated to the victims. It is also speculated there were more victims that the police could not positively attribute to the same person. My great grand father, Adam Haldane, was a Police Constable in London and was stationed in Whitechapel just after the murders ended.
